Terms of Use

Gazecue is a teleprompter and camera for iPhone and iPad. You can write or import scripts, show them as scrolling text, and record video with the device’s camera. Scripts and recordings are stored on your device.

The App is free to download. The free version includes unlimited scripts, the prompter, prompt-only mode and recordings of up to one minute per take. Videos that you share or save from the free version carry a small “Made with Gazecue” mark. Playback inside the App is not marked.

Pro removes the mark from exports, including takes recorded before you upgraded, removes the time limit, and adds mirror modes, split layouts, all themes, 1080p at 60 fps and 4K where the device supports it, and keyboard and remote control.

Pro is offered as a yearly subscription with a free trial, a monthly subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the App and on the App Store before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• For the yearly plan with a free trial, payment is charged when the trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
• Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks Pro in the App for as long as the App is offered. It does not include other apps.

Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. If you have a technical problem, contact us at support@eduardbruch.com and we will help.

Your scripts and recordings belong to you. We do not receive, review or claim any rights to them. You are responsible for what you record and share, including having the consent of people you film where the law requires it.

Because your content is stored only on your device, deleting the App, resetting or losing the device can delete your scripts and recordings. Save important recordings to Photos or another place. We cannot recover lost content.

• Use the App only in line with applicable law.
• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where the law allows it.
• Do not remove or circumvent the export mark or purchase checks.

The App’s design, code, graphics and texts belong to Eduard Bruch. The bundled fonts Instrument Serif and Syne are used under the SIL Open Font License.

The App is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always available.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

We may update these terms when the App changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
